Our CTSO produces a summer conference for over 3,000 students. And as part of the set of resources for our teacher leaders and attendees is the program book.
The program book was originally created in InDesign by our graphic designer and its one of the jobs I outsourced over the past two years. However, I reserved the cover for the booklets to myself.
The 2025 Booklet Cover

This was composed in Adobe Illustrator. The theme chosen by our committee was a Pixar-style characters; in this case I utilized Dall-E to produce the figure images. The conference mark design was one developed by our former graphic designer with my art direction.
2026 Booklet Cover

For this cover I used student images and applied Illustrator’s raster-to-vector effect to the images after giving the images a painterly effect in Photoshop. The background of Portland was also vectorized from an AI-generated image using NanoBanana.
I drew the conference mark in Illustrator based on a concept developed by our student leaders. I used the same graphical style of the students on the cover on our conference signage.
